ADHD Flow 4-3-2-1: Run your own race
One minute. No links. Just a reset.
4 Calming Breaths
The box breathing meditation you can do anytime and anywhere. Take 16 seconds right now to reconnect with your body and mind:
I. Inhale (four seconds)
II. Hold (four seconds)
III. Exhale (four seconds)
IV. Hold (four seconds)
Repeat as desired
3 Ideas From Me
I.
Run your own race.
The world will compare you anyway, jobs, relationships, money, progress.
You do not need to do it for them.
Comparison rarely improves performance. It usually just drains confidence, then attention, then momentum.
II.
This time of year can feel heavy. Dark mornings, short days, weather that squeezes your energy.
Two things can be true: it is hard, and it will pass.
Instead of fighting the season, try cooperating with it. Simpler days. Earlier nights. Smaller plans. More kindness toward your capacity.
III.
When life feels like too much, shrink the time horizon.
Just for today.
Not forever. Not all at once. Pick one helpful thing and do it before your brain tries to negotiate it away.
Resilience is often boring. It is choosing the next right step, then choosing it again tomorrow
2 Quotes From Others
I.
“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.”
A setback is not a verdict. It is feedback. “Fail better” is a quiet instruction: adjust the approach, not your worth. Resilience is the habit of returning, even when it is messy.

II.
“No feeling is final.”
Big emotions can feel permanent because they take up the whole screen.
Zoom out: feelings move, intensity fades, the story changes.
When it’s a lot, make it smaller. Just for today is enough.

1 Question For You
Where are you carrying someone else’s scoreboard right now? What would change if, just for today, you ran your own race?
